» General Manager Level

General Manager Strategy – Industrials Sector

Situation: A major industrials player had a need to backfill a role due to an impending internal promotion.  The brief was to find an individual with 3+ years tier 1 consulting and 3+ years subsequent industry experience.

Process: We approached a number of locally and overseas based candidates and presented our recommendation for the client to fast-track one individual, an Australian based overseas who was looking to return home, who was an ideal fit for the role.

Outcome: Following a rapid engagement process our client appointed a former McKinsey Engagement Manager with 4 years subsequent industry experience.

Chief Commercial Officer – TMT Sector

Situation: A spinoff from a leading TMT player was looking for its first Chief Commercial Officer to build the business.  The brief was to find an individual with 5+ years tier 1 consulting and 3+ years subsequent industry experience who was looking for an entrepreneurial opportunity.

Process: We approached a large number of locally based candidates and presented a shortlist of 4 individual, all of whom were seeking something different in a smaller company setting.

Outcome: Following a thorough engagement process our client hired a former Bain Manager with 4 years subsequent industry experience.

Head of Strategy – Retail Sector

Situation: A leading retail player was looking for a Head of Strategy to join its central strategy team.  The brief was to find an individual with several years post-MBA level tier 1 consulting experience, ideally with subsequent proven experience of delivering projects in industry.

Process: We approached a large number of locally and overseas based candidates and presented a shortlist of 3 individual.

Outcome: Following a rapid engagement process our client hired a former Bain Case Team Leader with 2 years subsequent industry experience.

Director of Strategy – TMT Sector

Situation: We advised a high calibre Investment banker with a tier 1 consulting background on potential career options.

Process: We leveraged the 325 Consulting network and introduced the candidate to the Head of Strategy of an ASX Listed business with a deep industry alignment. 

Outcome: A rare opportunity arose for the candidate after lengthy discussions to transition into the Head of Strategy role 

» Senior Manager / Manager Level

Executive Manager, Strategy - Financial Services Sector

Situation: A big 4 bank had a very specific need for an individual with tier 1 consulting and retail banking experience, for a role that had been vacant for over 9 months.

Process: Through our networks, we identified a suitable candidate and established they were the right fit for the role.

Outcome: Following a lengthy engagement process our client hired an A.T. Kearney Manager, structuring the role on a 4 day week basis.

Senior Manager, Group Strategy – Property Sector

Situation: A major global property player was specifically looking to hire a tier 1 calibre consultant into its group strategy team to augment its existing talent pool.

Process: Through a multi-channel sourcing approach, we considered more than 140 potential individuals before identifying a shortlist of 3 people.

Outcome: Following a rigorous engagement process our client hired a former Booz & Company Associate with passion for the property sector.

Corporate Strategy Manager – Healthcare Sector

Situation: A major healthcare company was looking tier 1 calibre consultant to join its corporate strategy team in a newly created role reporting to the Chief Strategy Officer.  The brief was to find an individual with several years tier 1 consulting experience with a proven interest in the healthcare sector.

Process: Through a multi-channel sourcing approach, we considered more than 90 potential individuals before identifying a shortlist of 3 people.

Outcome: Following a rapid engagement process our client hired a former Bain Consultant with project experience in the healthcare industry.

Manager, Group Strategy – Retail Sector

Situation: A leading retailer was looking for a Manager to join its Group Strategy team.  The brief was to find an individual with several years tier 1 consulting experience with project experience in the retail and consumer sectors.

Process: We approached a number of locally and overseas based candidates and presented a shortlist of 3 individuals

Outcome: Following a rapid engagement process our client hired a Manager level individual from a boutique strategy consulting firm.

Strategy Manager – eCommerce Sector

Situation: A rapidly growing global ecommerce player approached us to fill a newly-created Strategy Manager position.

Process: Through a multi-channel sourcing approach we sourced and selected a shortlist of 2 suitable candidates.

Outcome: Following a rigorous global engagement process our client hired a former A.T. Kearney Senior Business Analyst with subsequent Private Equity experience.

Manager, Product & Pricing Strategy – TMT Sector

Situation: A rapidly changing digital media company approached us to fill a newly-created product and pricing specialist role.

Process: Through our networks, we identified a suitable candidate and established they were the right fit for the role.

Outcome: Following a rapid engagement process our client hired an A.T. Kearney Associate with proven project delivery experience.

Senior Strategy Analyst – TMT Sector

Situation: A leading Australian media company was seeking a Senior Strategy Analyst with at least 3 years experience gained in a top tier strategy consulting firm ideally with TMT experience. 

Process: Through our networks, we identified a suitable candidate and established they were the right fit for the role

Outcome: We identified a candidate that wasn’t actively looking but had flagged a genuine interest and passion for media. Through a collaborative process of multiple meetings we successfully placed the candidate, who was a top performing Associate with 4 years experience at Port Jackson Partners a leading boutique strategy consultancy.

Strategy Analyst – Financial Services

Situation: A leading Australian Insurer was actively recruiting a Strategy Analyst in the General Insurance strategy team. 

Process: 325 Consulting undertook a multi-channel approach to source and select a shortlist of suitable candidates

Outcome: The client secured a three-year consultant with financial services experience gained in boutique strategy consulting firm in Europe.

Strategy Analyst – Industrials Sector

Situation: A leading Corporate in Melbourne was seeking a tier 1 consultant with a minimum of 2 years experience to join the Group Strategy team. 

Process: We actively sourced candidates in both the Melbourne and Sydney market for the role.

Outcome: We identified a 2-year L.E.K. consultant that we had tracked from overseas, who was happy to re-locate from Sydney to Melbourne.  The candidate was recently promoted within a year of being in the role. 

Senior Associate - Tier 1 Consulting Firm

Situation: An Associate Director from a tier 2 global consulting firm approached us looking to relocate from Europe to gain exposure to the Asia Pacific growth story.

Process: 325 Consulting identified a targeted shortlist of organisations we knew in the consulting industry in the Asia Pacific region and agreed to proactively approach them to explore opportunities.

Outcome: A tier 1 consulting firm created a Senior Associate opportunity in an emerging Asian economy to secure the individual.

Boutique TMT Specialist

Situation: We were briefed to find a strategy consultant with circa 5 Years consulting experience with experience and passion for TMT & Digital. 

Process: We maintained a watching brief for the client 

Outcome: We placed an ex AT Kearney Consultant with 1-years experience gained in a Tech Start up. The candidate had multiple offers through us and this opportunity was the best fit from a career development perspective in order to deepen his expertise in the digital space. 

Asset Intensive Consulting firm

Situation:  Introduced to a boutique consulting firm that focuses on Asset intensive industries that had previously negative experiences with recruiters. 

Process: Took a detailed brief in person and spent significant time understanding the firm’s unique positioning and value proposition. Was also flexible in approach re structuring fees to de-risk the client outcome. 

Outcome: Had promised quality over quantity and only submitted two candidate options both were hired. The client had been looking for over 6 months and I had been able to find a rapid solution saving the client both time and money.

Boutique Sport & Media Consulting firm

Situation: The Head of HR briefed us on the need for a Manager level candidate for a leading sport & media consultancy. 

Process: Through a multi-channel sourcing approach we sourced and selected a more senior candidate that was willing to compromise on Salary to combine his sports & consulting background. 

Outcome: We placed an ex BCG consultant with a Physio background in Football and Cricket. He greatly enhanced the firm’s revenue and reputation.

Globally Branded Top Tier Consulting firm

Situation: We were working with an immediately available management consultant with a strong background in Supply chain and procurement.

Process:  We identified 3 firms in the market that were strongest in the vertical and introduced the candidate. 

Outcome: We got the candidate meeting with two firms and placed him with the Globally branded tier 1 consulting firm
